The DSG is a twin-engined diesel-electric shunting locomotive built by Toshiba Heavy Industries in four batches from 1981 to 1983. Totalling 24 in number, they have seen widespread use throughout New Zealand, particularly in larger goods yards and for port traffic.
Here we see DSG3059 at work in the Wellington yards.
